Savonarola moderni

Tra i miei blogger preferiti c'è senz'altro Jeff Atwood (e anche lui avrà le orecchie sibilanti). Uno dei suoi post, che avrei potuto anche scrivere io tanto è il mio livello di condivisione, è quello intitolato "A blog without comments is not a blog".

Cito questo pezzo:

I firmly maintain that a blog without comments enabled is not a blog. It's more like a church pulpit. You preach the word, and the audience passively receives your evangelical message. Straight from God's lips to their ears. When the sermon is over, the audience shuffles out of the church, inspired for another week. And there's definitely no question and answer period afterward.

Esempi di commenti molto informativi sono quelli in calce a questo post. Esempi di commenti non informativi, ma esilaranti, in calce a quest'altro post in inglese. Cito:

(gli "swipe strips" sono i lettori magnetici per carta di credito troppo stretti - a detta del commentatore - per un certo tipo di forma di pagamento)

Un blog (?) senza commenti non lascia scampo e rende veramente l'idea del Verbo sceso (imposto mai: si potrebbe sempre evitare di frequentare certi luoghi) dall'alto.

Non c'è neanche da precisare che il tutto non ha niente a che vedere con la moderazione o la cancellazione di interventi estremamente sgradevoli.

OOB: domanda per gli utenti FireFox. C'è un plugin firefox per salvare un sito in un'unica pagina self-contained (come si puo' fare con IE)?
